The Sugar Suite Bio

Jennyfer Rahill Mancino, founder of The Sugar Suite, always knew she wanted to work in the wedding industry.  A native to the sunshine state, Jennyfer spent her early years observing and admiring her Mother, Joann Delgin, founder of Disney’s Fairytale Weddings.  A typical weekend was spent pinning table cloths and straightening chair covers for some of the most elaborately decorated weddings in the country.  It was through her mother’s passion for the industry, that Jennyfer quickly learned a strong work ethic and developed a true love for the beauty of weddings.

While attending Rollins College, Jennyfer had the privilege of spending a year in France as an exchange student.   While in France her house mother, a chef, spent time teaching Jennyfer the skill and art of cooking.  It was in that kitchen that she discovered her love of food and all things French.  Following her return, Jennyfer graduated with a Bachelors in International Affairs, and began her career as a wedding planner for Puf f ‘N Stuff Catering.  

Though she was not initially a fan of sweets, Jennyfer soon was overcome with the desire to bake, craving cake constantly.  Soon after receiving the joyous news that she was pregnant with her daughter, she dove head first into the wonderful world of baking. Throughout the next nine months, Jennyfer continued to elevate her craft to include custom cakes and cupcakes.  Project by project, accolade by accolade, The Sugar Suite was created.

The Sugar Suite, which was founded in 2009, is a boutique bakery offering couples clean and modern wedding cakes. The name “The Sugar Suite” stems from the French phrase “en suite” meaning, “what’s next.”   This French phrase is deeply personal to Jennyfer, because it represents the deep connection she had with her grandmother throughout her life and the beginning of the next chapter of her family’s life with the birth of her daughter Amelia.

Jennyfer believes that every bride has a unique style, which is intricately showcased in her wedding cakes. “As a bride I had a wonderful experience working with Sylvia Weinstock.  She rolled out the red carpet and made me feel like a celebrity,” says Jennyfer. “I believe that good design is simple and I want to provide that same luxurious and creative experience for my brides.”

The Sugar Suite has received several accolades including “2011 Best of Weddings” from The Knot and winner of “Best chocolate Cupcake” at the 2010 Festival of Chocolate.
